Deep Dive Look Into My $6M Funnel Process
And what types of funnels you HAVE TO avoid when you are starting out
Building an online info product business can be a confusing place because of the VASTLY different advice being tossed around by the experts out there. After spending tens of thousands on courses/ masterminds and coaching I’ve come to the conclusion that MOST internet product guys are so blinded by their need to sell that they don’t even share what actually works for them, they sell you on the things that sounds the best.
Maybe I’m naive, but I thought that was the point of creating online products… to help people by teaching them what you learned while doing something. You learned the guitar the hard way, now you help people learn it the easy way… sounds simple.
Last month I bought someones $100 product (reasonable price, very easy to consume, easy to understand what I was getting, very little decision fatigue when considering whether or not to join)… during that training he SPECIFICALLY told people to use a webinar if they were just getting started and this got me to thinking.
If a webinar is the absolute best type of funnel… why didn’t he use a webinar to sell me the $100 program? This is part of the confusion in the industry! We have millions of people trying to build an online business, they want to create their first product, but the advice out there is contradictory and complicated.
Webinars, challenges, launch funnels, book funnels… ALL of these are near impossible for most beginners. There… I said it. If you are starting out and have no audience right now, these funnels WILL NOT WORK for you, yet.
Webinars are crazy expensive, complicated to create and run, attendance rates are down, conversion rates are down, and you HAVE TO SELL something high ticket to make them close to “work” which is hard for most beginners to do. I’ve run THOUSANDS of webinars and personally love them, but they are near impossible EVEN FOR ME if i’m only using paid ads. They are amazing for warm audience (email list, social audience, etc).
Challenges are also really complicated to put together, require 3-5 days worth of training curriculum that MOST beginners don’t have, and why would someone pay you for a challenge when they have no idea if you yourself have accomplished the thing? Again, I love challenges if people know you. I think it’s a great idea to host a challenge if you have people that trust that you’ll actually get them momentum.
Launches are great, but again… no audience means no one is super excited to attend. They also require 3-5 days worth of training curriculum, some online talent for hosting live or pre recorded launch calls… these are made for people with an existing audience!
Books… let’s face it… you aren’t writing a book unless YOU ARE AN EXPERT. Even then, it’s hard to fill a book with good content right? Books are NOT for beginners. If you are an existing expert in a certain field, a book MAY be the best way to build authority and one of the best funnels I’ve seen… but HARD to go from obscurity to book seller.
So that leaves us with what? What can someone do when they are just trying to break into the online game and want to sell something that has real potential that could scale to making 5 and 6 figures a month? If all the other advice is too complicated, too expensive, phased out, and just downright WRONG…
What’s the RIGHT WAY?
Well - in January of 2023 I launched a brand new product with ZERO social media audience. That product was something I put together in 2 days and consisted of a live training and a pdf (thanks Canva and ChatGPT)…
That product was incredibly easy to create, and sold for $97 one time…
That business went on to make $4.8Million that year thanks to what I’ll share below. The system I developed (and it’s not new, this is just my take on it and what worked for me) has since also worked for everyone that’s executed on it and is just about the most simple way I’ve seen beginners get their stride online. Hopefully it helps you too…
Phase 1: Start with a Simple Product ($27 Offer)
Your first task is to create a product so simple it helps a beginner (a 0) become a 1. No fancy courses or expert-level training needed—just something that gets someone started in your niche. The goal here is momentum, not perfection.
Keep it under $100. I love pricing at $97, but if you’ve got zero leverage or audience, start with $27.
Example: When I launched my Amazon Influencer Method training, I was barely a 3 in that space. At the time I had made $1,400 from the program itself. But I wasn’t trying to make people rich overnight—I was helping them get started.
This product could be a few PDF guides and a couple of short videos. You can create this in one day if you focus. I actually give you a ChatGPT that I created that helps you come up with your product in ANY NICHE you could imagine. It not only tells you what to make, gives it a sexy name that sounds super valuable, but it also MAKES the entire PDF for you. So you literally have no excuse because the product could be done in an hour.
The Order Bump: A $20/month Recurring Community
On the checkout page, offer access to a private community as an optional add-on—the infamous “order bump.”
This community offers ongoing support, accountability, and a chance to hang with others doing the same thing. People are more likely to succeed when they’re surrounded by the right crowd.
Raise the price every time 50-100 members join. This keeps the community valuable and exclusive. So you may start at $10/ mo, but as you grow it you can raise the price for new members because it will have more value.
I use communities here because communities are a hot topic and people will pay to be surrounded with like minded people. You price the community cheap enough to also be a low decision fatigue purchase. You want people going “sure, I’ll add that”. Think about things like gum and batteries in a check out lane of a grocery store. You grab them, not because you NEED THEM, but because you MIGHT need them and they are cheap enough. This rings true with all order bumps.
Pro tip: This monthly recurring income becomes your peace-of-mind money. It covers ad spend, tools, and overhead. Even if you break even on front-end sales, the community subscriptions keep things rolling. If you built that up over 6 months you have a great business paying you every month. You’ll notice MOST of what I talk about requires consistency.
Phase 2: Ads, Sales, and Momentum
Once your initial $27 offer is live, run some basic ads and create content around your product. The goal here is to build momentum and get Facebook to identify your ideal buyers. You’ll get somewhere between 25-50 buyers in a short period of time if you follow our 4 Pillars approach to releasing this product. (Obviously we teach this in our PaidCreators Program)
Let’s take things up a knotch and look at what the numbers are when you get things moving. With 500 sales of your $27 product, here’s what the math looks like:
$13,500 from the front-end offer.
30% of buyers opt into the $20/month community. That’s $3,000/month recurring income.
This income allows you to scale your ads, bring in help, or reinvest into other parts of the business.
This is another reason Webinars are so hard. With $27 sales I’ll get a lot of buyer pixel momentum… but if I was selling a webinar I might get a few at $997. This makes identifying your buyer (for Facebook and Youtube) much more difficult. So if I tell Facebook “Find my more buyers”… I have a better chance of getting results if I have a lot more pixel activity already to show Facebook who an ideal buyer is.
Let’s say I get $10,000 in sales. That’s 10 sales $997 or 370 sales at $27… So which do you think Facebook’s algorithm is going to benefit from more? Only have 10 pieces of data, or having 370 pieces of data?
Exactly… and when you are starting out you need as much data to help Facebook as possible.
Now that you’ve got some data and feedback, it’s time to add your next phase: the upsell.
Phase 3: Introduce a $199 Upsell (More Value, Bigger Results)
Your upsell should offer something that significantly improves your customers' results in less time. This isn’t just “more info.” It’s something tangible that adds real value.
Example (Sourdough Niche):
$27 Product = Starter guide (basic tools, feeding instructions, common mistakes).
$199 Upsell = Exclusive recipes (like cinnamon rolls or discard recipes) bundled into a one-time package.
Expect around 14% of buyers to take this upsell. Even though most people say no, the few that say yes can double your revenue. It’s funny when you think of 14% conversion rate… that means 86% of people said no. Nearly 90% of people say no and you make a lot more money.
At 500 front-end sales with a 14% upsell rate, you’ll make $13,930 from the upsell alone.
Our focus is to make this a big bundle that gives them more of what they just bought. Don’t reinvent the wheel here.
Phase 4: The Big Offer ($997 Coaching or Private Access)
This is where things get really interesting. Now that you’ve built a list of buyers, it’s time to pitch your premium $997 offer.
This isn’t something you sell on the site directly—you only pitch this after a 1-on-1 call. Make potential customers tell you they don’t want it. This strategy converts better because they’re already invested and more likely to say yes.
Example: In the sourdough niche, this could be:
A $997 private coaching group to help serious bakers perfect their craft.
“Done-for-you” services, Done with You, Coaching, or Direct Access are all things you can sell for a higher price point.
If 15 people take you up on this offer, that’s another $15,000 in the bank.
The Fun Part: Running the Numbers
By the end of this funnel, your average order value jumps from $27 to $90. This means you can spend up to $90 on ads to acquire each buyer and still break even—all while growing a list of customers and building a recurring membership. If ALL YOU DID was break even for 6 months and build a recurring membership… that would be $18,000/ mo in recurring at the end of that 6 months. NOT TOO SHABBY!
Here’s the Breakdown:
500 Front-End Sales @ $27: $13,500
30% join the $20/mo Community: $3,000/mo
14% buy the $199 Upsell: $13,930
15 buyers take the $997 offer: $15,000
Total: $45,430 + $3,000/month recurring income (In just a one month example)
Turning On New Traffic Sources
Something VERY few people know is that your customers are your best marketers. Imagine you sell a dog training product and Suzy uses it, and her dog is really well behaved after. Then Suzy goes to the dog park and her dog no longer flips out, doesn’t bark, and listens to her commands and her friend Tammy says “How did you get Spike to be so well behaved?” That’s a pretty common scenario right?
Well if you told Suzy “Hey, we have an affiliate program… here’s your link… share this and I’ll give you 50% anytime someone signs up” she may tell Tammy and send her the link. You’ll have marketers walking all over the earth telling people about you and it costs you nothing unless someone buys!
Once you’ve got members, turn them into affiliates. Offer them 50% commission to promote your product.
If 15% of your members become affiliates and each generates 5 sales per month, that’s 375 new buyers/month.
That’s $33,750/month in revenue, half of which goes to affiliates.
But now, those 375 new customers and 15% of them become affiliates, creating a snowball effect.
This spiral creates new streams of traffic and revenue—without you lifting a finger.
Our affiliates generates $1.4Million in revenue through our programs and it all started by doing exactly what I mentioned above. I just offered them the chance and gave them some basic training on how to make sales for us.
No Crazy Tech. No Wild Expertise. Just Results.
This funnel isn’t rocket science. It’s a simple, repeatable system that anyone can launch. There’s no need for complicated webinars, fancy websites, or a massive audience.
You need a simple product that is easy to consume, gives your prospect some momentum, and gets your foot in the door with them to build trust. This is the start of a VERY profitable business and I haven’t even mentioned the value you’ll get from creating a buying audience.
The next time you promote something to your list, you’ll get a HUGE uptake on it because your list trusts you. Why do they trust you? Because you’ve proven you provide value.
That is why I believe TRUST is easier to acquire through low ticket programs for most people who are getting started. To be honest, I don’t are how much of an expert you are or how big your audience is…
You’ll benefit from running a low ticket program to get more people into your ecosystem GUARANTEED.
This is my mission… to share this with everyone who will listen because I have seen it with my own eyes. I have run thousands of webinars, dozens of challenges, launch funnels for years… nothing has gotten me as much momentum in ALL arenas of my business than a low ticket acquisition style funnel.
As always, if you want a step by step of how to pull all of this together and launch your own product… you want help choosing your niche… you want help building the funnel out… you want help with the entire process… join our community and get my 14 day start to finish curriculum and launch your own low ticket system!
See you next time!
