Use This Map To Turn Your Passion Into An 8 Figure Business

I’ve been blessed to create multiple different 7 and 8 figure companies across the last 15 years and it’s given me a really good perspective on what it takes to go from “idea” to profit, from profit to business, and from business to scale.
Truth by told, one offer usually won’t make you a 7 figure business owner… you’re going to need THREE types of products to get to 7 and 8 figures and today I want to share exactly what those are so that as you go through your journey to become a PaidCreator you’ll keep these stages in mind. I think it helps when you realize that making $10,000/ mo from one product is actually incredible… and that’s when you have to start pivoting to the next “phase”.

Let’s dive in… and let me lay out the EXACT system we teach inside our PaidCreators community.
Step 1: The Map – The Free Newsletter That Brings Them In
Let’s first imagine that whatever you are going to sell, that’s gold. Whether it’s helping people lose weight, having a perfectly trained dog, running a faster mile, making friends in your 30s, fixing a marriage, whatever… you’re going to help people “strike gold” by helping them fix that problem.
The first step, when you are trying to find gold is to get your hands on a map. In our online business analogy, the “map” is the free content – typically a newsletter – that gives your audience just enough to get started. Much like this newsletter… it’s obviously I’ll share EVERYTHING I can… but the step by step has to be in a membership of some kind because newsletters don’t allow us to say as much as a video can.
You’re giving them the idea that they can “find gold” on their own with the newsletter, laying out the broad strokes, but it’s not exactly a GPS with turn by turn navigation. It’s the hook that piques their interest and makes them realize you have the answers they need.
Why it works: Your free newsletter is the first stage in acquiring peoples attention. It’s the tool that brings people into your world and gets them hungry for more. And best of all, it costs you almost nothing to deliver.
This is where most people stop. They give out some solid value, a couple of tips, and hope for the best. But you’re not “most people,” are you? You’re here to scale, and that means taking your audience from curious readers to paying customers.
Every week, you pump out a newsletter that helps people get closer to their goal… and that newsletter can help bring them into your paid community and that brings us to Step 2.

Step 2: The GPS – Your Low-Ticket Membership (Fast Results)
The map’s great, but let’s be real – who wants to get lost in the suburbs figuring out which turn to take to get to the gold faster? Enter, the first product you sell: your low-ticket, membership community. This is the GPS for their gold strike search.
Your membership offer is your lead product – easy to sell, easy to market, easy to fulfill, and easy for your audience to consume quickly. This is where they pay for clarity, a step-by-step system that takes the guesswork out of it. They don’t want to spend hours figuring it out; they want the fastest route to their goal, and that’s exactly what you give them.
The beauty of this phase? It’s your 5-figure-per-month, six-figure-a-year machine. It’s the foundation for everything that follows.
If you sell a membership for $20/ mo and raise the price every 50 members. You need 73 members in your first 100 days to reach $10,000 in total revenue. You need around 270 members to break $10,000/ mo. And you’d need around 691 people to get to $50,000/ mo in recurring income.
If you can’t possibly imagine 691 people paying for step-by-step directions to find the gold you’re going to help them get… you need to dream bigger. There are millions of people paying monthly for things WAY LESS VALUABLE than what you can likely help them achieve and you only need 691 people to change your life entirely and make more in a month than the average American makes in a year.
Why it works: The membership community is sticky. People love to belong to something that’s growing, buzzing, and active. It’s scalable, it’s recurring, and it frees you up from endless 1:1 time while still delivering value. It turns browsers into buyers and gets your cash flow moving. Step 3: The Shovel – Speed & Automation Products
Now that your audience is getting results (and hopefully, raving about you), it’s time to make things easier FOR THEM. This is the “shovel” stage – where you introduce tools that help them dig faster and deeper. Obviously gold needs to be mined… you can do that with your fingers, or you can pay a bit more and buy yourself a shovel.
You can make a LOT OF MONEY selling shovels…
This could be software, tech, or any kind of automation that eliminates their pain points and speeds up their results. This is when you sell the tools they didn’t even know they needed, but once they see it, they can’t live without it.
The possibilities here are endless. If it’s weight loss, recommend the supplements you used… sell them a diet you used… something that speeds up the journey.
Why it works: Once your audience is hooked on the value you provide, some of them will pay for something that saves them time, energy, or frustration. It’s like handing them a power drill when they’ve been working with a hand-crank for too long. These products are often higher-ticket than your membership, so this is where you start to scale beyond six figures and move into seven.
Let’s imagine 25% of people who join your members, pay for something more. In my case i’ve found that number to be pretty accurate with scale… which more than 3x’d the profit of my business and allowed me to scale more and into more traffic strategies.
Pro tip: This could be an affiliate product or something you create based on feedback from your audience. Listen closely to their needs and frustrations. They’ll tell you exactly what they need, and then you deliver it on a silver platter.

Step 4: The Sherpa – Coaching and High-Ticket Access
Now for the grand finale. You’ve given them the map, the GPS, and the shovel. But if they really want to strike it rich, what they need now is a guide – someone who’s already walked this path and knows every shortcut, every pitfall, every gold nugget hidden along the way.
That’s you. Ok, maybe it’s not you YET but that’s why I love thinking about this in stages. You start with a newsletter, get that moving… you’re now learning more about the industry you’re in by writing about it. Then you release a paid membership, again increasing what you know… what you’ve tried… who you’ve helped. Then you start helping people get results faster… now you’re a certified pro! Who needs credentials when you have PROOF and experience!
This is where you introduce your high-ticket coaching, events, masterminds – whatever you want to call it. But I prefer to call it access. Why? Because that’s what you’re truly selling here. Access to your time, your expertise, your network.
You’ve been where they are, and now you’re helping them leapfrog over all the mistakes you made. This is the big-ticket offer that takes your business into the 8-figure realm. If you want to break past seven figures, you’re not just selling content anymore – you’re selling YOU, but at a premium!
Why it works: People don’t just pay for information. They pay for transformation. And the fastest way to transform is by working directly with someone who’s done it before. You’re no longer just their teacher; you’re their partner in success. They’ll pay big money for that level of access, and you’ll deliver results that make the price tag worth it.
Let’s recap.
Your initial membership is your ticket to six figures. It’s the gateway offer – low price, high value, easy for your audience to say “yes” to and something you can likely get off the ground in a few days. This is your gateway drug that hooks you into becoming a PaidCreator. When you feel the adrenaline you get from “You just made a sale” emails… you’ll get it.
Once you have that nailed down, it’s time to layer in speed and automation products. These are the “shovels” that make everything faster and easier for your audience, while helping you scale to seven figures.
Finally, to break into eight figures, you’ve got to sell access to YOU. High-ticket coaching, events, masterminds – this is where the real money is made. It’s not just about products anymore; it’s about giving people the fastest, most direct path to the result they want.
What I Did to Build a $5.5M Offer

This is just what we acquired in Stripe, doesn’t include our payment plans, doesn’t include our paypal, etc… the offer is closer to $6M
In 2023, I took this exact approach and it lead to a $5.5 million offer. I started with an acquisition funnel, offering a low-priced, high-value membership community. That was my GPS.
Then, I added in speed and automation – tools that made the process easier for my audience. That was the shovel.
Finally, I scaled up by offering access to me through coaching and high-ticket events. That was the Sherpa.
